"I was somewhat aware of Dan Fornero due to some of his previous work, but was unprepared for just how great this CD is. The variety and quality of the music is top shelf. At times the horn sections remind me of Bill Chase. Dan has that same big round tone. The rhythm section is totally awesome, but every musician playing is a definite A lister!!! And, while Dan is certainly a great trumpt player, it's not all about horns. There's some screaming guitar and keyboards! This CD should appeal to a wide cross section of people if the word gets out. I highly recommend it!!!!!"
Dan is a trumpet man in Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band and is truly an amazing player! Now his talent as a writer and arranger has come forth on his record. He is a native of Wisconsin which, by the way, produces great players.
Along with some friends from the Phat Band (Sal Lozano, Wayne Bergeron, Eric Marienthal) and some other notables such as the Bissonette brothers Gregg and Matt on drums and bass respectively. Gary Grant and Bill Reichenbach are a couple other household names in the jazz world.
I heard a few snippets of this and ordered it immediately. When i put it in my deck for the first time, I was amazed by all facets of this record. The charts, the players, AND the fabulous sound of this CD.
In this era of hundreds of releases on CD this is one that is deserving of huge recognition. It simply CANNOT get lost in the crowd. We all need and want more artists to care that they put out great stuff and DAN DID IT!!!
Add it to your music listening pleasure. You surely will be glad you did!

This is a very unique production. It has a little bit of everything. Great vocals, great solos and some high notes. I can stop listening, I specially enjoy the last track, Wish You Were Here with a great flugelhorn solo and guitar solos. You won't be disappointed on this recording.
